Hospital Los Angeles Torreon was built in 1993, and began operating in 1995. American Heningson Dirham & Richardson, Inc. was part of the team that designed our hospital, and it was awarded a special recognition in the US for the construction of this hospital.
From the beginning, this hospital showed great prestige due to the quality and care directed to the well being of the entire families in this region.
In November, 2000, Hospital Los Angeles Torreon became a part of the Angeles Group Health Services (GASS), transforming itself in the leader hospital in this Region.
2001 was a year of transition and adaptation. During 2002 the Hospital was fully equipped, and had a period of intensive training, maintenance, and standardization. At the beginning of 2003, the hospital changes its name to Hospital Angeles Torreon (HAT) in order to unify with other Hospitals of GASS.

The great demand in this region forced the development of HAT to become the modern health institution that it is today. Its first step was the inauguration of the Heart and Thorax Surgery Department formed by the best cardio-thoraxic surgeons of this country.
In July 2003, the Transplant Department was inaugurated. HAT is the only private institution with authorization of CENATRA to perform all kinds of transplant procedures. By October, 2003, the new Emergency Department and Check up Area started operating.
At the present time, HAT offers a great number of services and programs that directly contribute to the detection, care and rehabilitation of its patients.
